Finnish designer, Taisto Palonen, designed a collection for the jewelry manufacturer, Kultateollisuus Ky during the early 1970's. His work is characterized by a strong clean geometry with an emphasis on stone formations. His work is usually made from sterling silver and "Finnish Greenstone" which is similar in color and vein to nephrite jade. His work has only recently been seen on the international market.
His work is published on page 380, Plate 497 in the Finnish design anthology, Uusi antiikkikiraja 1900-1980, published by Werner Soderstrom OsakeyHtio, Helsinki 2003, ISBN 951-0-27509-3.
